Harrison Looks for a Bigger Role in 2007

Lewis to step in and have a big season, don’t forget so fast about second-year back Jerome Harrison. ESPN’s John Clayton recently wrote in his blog that Harrison has added close to 20 pounds to his body, pushing him from 199 up to about 220 in weight. Harrison ran with more power and authority during the recent Browns mini-camps, and looks like a solid option behind Lewis.
Last season Harrison didn’t get much of a chance to carry the ball, as he only had 20 carries for 60 yards. During last years preseason, he shined, and many thought he was going to have a bigger role during the season, but it just didn’t happen. Look for more from Harrison in 2007, and if Lewis goes down at any time, Harrison will be right there to step in.
