Cleveland Browns cornerback Gary Baxter was on the practice field for the afternoon workout on Monday. It was a big step for Baxter, who’s trying to comeback from torn tendons in both of his knees. Baxter suffered the injuries in a game against the Denver Broncos on October 22nd of last year and underwent surgery two days later. Baxter partook in only position drills, but still holds out hope of being ready for the regular season opener on September 9th against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Brown will continue training camp today with an afternoon workout.
