KFFL.com Breaks Down Browns QB Battle

KFFL.com, a fantasy site, has broken down the QB battle for the Browns as the competition continues in Berea.  Here below is there take on who will be under center for the Browns opening day vs the Steelers

Quarterbacks

Derek Anderson vs. Charlie Frye | Cleveland Browns

A tumultuous 2007 NFL Draft saw the Browns initially pass on Brady Quinn, only to grab the former Notre Dame quarterback further down the draft board. Despite the draft day drama, Quinn appears to be the possible quarterback of the future, not the present, and looks unlikely to compete for the No. 1 quarterback spot before the start of this season.

Frye missed time in 2006 due to a wrist injury, during which Anderson filled in decently, although not impressively. However, Frye’s propensity for trying to force too many plays and the playing time shown to Anderson in camp suggest Frye’s days as a No. 1 quarterback may be over. Anderson, in fact, entered training camp as the starter. Until the Browns establish consistency and rhythm on offense, fantasy owners should shy away from drafting many of their players. At this point, don’t consider Anderson or (especially) Frye as anything more than reserve fantasy quarterbacks to begin the 2007 season.

PROJECTED WINNER: Anderson is leading slightly, but Quinn could possibly see more action over the course of the season.
