Browns Notes: QB Debate, Hickerson, Vickers

* The Browns aren’t sure who will be their starting quarterback this coming Sunday when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.  Head coach Romeo Crennel said that he hasn’t decided following the season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Charlie Frye started the game, but was just 4-of-10 for 34 yards and an interception.  Derek Anderson took over and was 13-of-28 for 184 yards with one touchdown and an interception.  Rookie Brady Quinn did not see any action in the loss to the Steelers.

* The Browns paid tribute to Hall of Fame guard Gene Hickerson on Sunday afternoon.  Hickerson received his Hall of Fame ring during a ceremony at halftime of the Browns-Steelers game.  Hickerson played 16 seasons for the Browns and opened holes for Hall of Fame running backs Jim Brown, Leroy Kelly and Bobby Mitchell.  Hickerson was enshrined at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton just last month.

* Fullback Lawrence Vickers scored his first pro touchdown Sunday.  It was the Browns lone TD of the afternoon in the 27-point loss.
