The Charlie Frye era has ended in Cleveland. The Browns today sent the former University of Akron standout to the the Seattle Seahawks for a reported sixth round pick. Frye who was in his third year, was the Browns starting quarterback albeit for only less than 20 minutes in Sunday’s embarrassing home opening loss to Pittsburgh Steelers. Frye was 4 of 10 for 34 yards and a pick in Sunday’s game. He was also sacked a total of five times. Frye will be the Seahwks third string quarterback behind Seneca Wallace and starter Matt Hasselbeck. The Browns have reportedly re-signed four year vet Ken Dorsey whos had been with the team in training camp. No word as of now who will be the starter in the Browns home game versus the Bengals on Sunday.
