The Charlie Frye era has ended in Cleveland. The Browns today sent the former University of Akron standout to the the Seattle Seahawks for a reported sixth round pick. Frye who was in his third year, was the Browns starting quarterback albeit for only less than 20 minutes in Sunday’s embarrassing home opening loss to Pittsburgh Steelers. Frye will be the Seahwks third string quarterback behind Seneca Wallace and starter Matt Hasselbeck.
