Lewis Back for Browns; Jackson Hurts Ankle

Posted by Matt Loede on October 29th, 2007 filed in News

Browns running back Jamal Lewis returned to the starting lineup on Sunday after missing nearly two entire games because of a strained right foot.  Lewis carried the ball 17 times and rushed for 61 yards.  Jerome Harrison and Jason Wright helped out on Sunday as Harrison ran for 32 yards on five carries, while Wright had four carries for 19 yards.

Inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson had to leave the game against the Rams in the first quarter on Sunday because of an injury to his left ankle.  Jackson entered the game leading the Browns in tackles with 57.  The Browns are expected to update Jackson’s status later today, but hope he’ll be ready to return for this coming Sunday’s game at the Stadium against Seattle.

As to the performance of Jamal Lewis in the upcoming Cleveland vs Pittsburg:
This should be His opportunity to show his EX-Team that he is FAR from the washed-up all-purpose back they traded away. The Steelers biggest mistake this year will be that trade.
Lewis was good when kicking the snot out of Cleveland (295 yards) and this is his time to do it to the Steelers.
Go Jamal: Go Browns and PLEASE let Quinn learn the NFL way before his ordination. He MAY NOT BE the second coming as advertised.
