This is a really great move by the Browns. Here you have an underachieving player with no polished skills amd no apparent football awareness, who is not reputed to be a great teammate or locker room guy, and he has a history of making big blunders on the handful of plays for which he's on the field. I'm sure he will have lots of intelligence to share on the defense. (Hint: they play a 3-4 and run this zone blitz thing. Does that help?)

Are there any sources for the "some say it was done" to send a message to other vets gossip? Other blogs, even? Whispers at the sports bar? Anything?

In any event, Colclough missed a tackle -- not a bvlock -- on a Bengals punt return. Colclough played for the Steelers at the time. When the other team is returning a punt, you try to tackle them, not block them.
