Lewis And McDonald Up For Weekly Awards

Browns running back Jamal Lewis and defensive back Brandon McDonald are in the running for weekly awards. Lewis is in the running for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week Award after rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown during this past Sunday’s win over Houston. McDonald is up for the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award after he had an interception and made several key plays on special teams.

I think Barry McBride at the OBR had a good point on this. It’s nice to see our players nominated, but if they had this set up for any other reason than getting pageviews with a Fedex/Pepsi ad, it would mean a little more.
