Edwards Misses Practice; Baxter Wins Award

Posted by Matt Loede on November 29th, 2007 filed in News

Receiver Braylon Edwards missed practice on Wednesday because of a sore hamstring.  Ethan Kelley and Eric Wright also missed practice because of knee injuries.  Both did not play during last Sunday’s win over Houston.  Orpheus Roye, Kevin Shaffer and Robaire Smith also missed practice because of sore knees.

In other news, cornerback Gary Baxter was named the winner of the Ed Block Courage Award by his teammates on Wednesday.  Baxter was able to at least practice this year after tearing tendons in both knees during a game against Denver last season.  Baxter is currently on the injured reserve list, but plans on continuing his comeback attempt next season.
