The Browns had no less than seven players miss practice on Wednesday as they began preparations for the game against the Jets.  Among the missing were starting right tackle Kevin Shaffer and starting defensive end Robaire Smith, who each were dealing with sore knees.  Fellow defensive end Orpheus Roye was out with a neck injury.  The good news was that cornerback Eric Wright and nose tackle Ethan Kelley returned to practice after missing the past two games with knee injuries.
