Edwards Ties Mark; Peek Suffers Ankle Sprain

Posted by Matt Loede on December 10th, 2007 filed in News

Braylon Edwards tied the franchise-record with his 13th touchdown reception of the season on Sunday.  Edwards made the one-handed grab in the third quarter to help the Browns beat the Jets.  Edwards matched the record set by Gary Collins in 1963, but still has three games to surpass the mark.

On the injury front, outside linebacker Antwan Peek suffered a high right ankle sprain early in the second quarter and did not return to the game.  There is a chance that Peek could miss some upcoming games because of the injury.  Inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson had a similar injury earlier this season and missed two games.
