Browns Sign Three Defensive Ends
Posted by Stephen Rhodes on December 26th, 2007 filed in NewsWednesday morning found the Cleveland Browns busy as they signed defensive ends Bobby Hamilton, Melila Purcell and Zach West. Hamilton, a 12-year veteran, was a member of the New England Patriots’ Super bowl winning teams in 2001 and 2003; he has played in 164 games - including 102 starts - with New England, Oakland and the New York Jets.
Purcell, signed to the practice squad, was picked by the Browns in the 6th round of this year’s draft and had spent the entire season on the practice squad; West, who was undrafted, spent two weeks on the Patriots’ practice squad.
