A Season of Disappointments and Hope

No playoffs this year. I know every one of us fans have heard it all before about, “next year”. I think it’s a legitimate statement this time. We have a lot to look forward to next year. The Browns can’t blame anyone but themselves though. We had Oakland , Pittsburgh (2nd game), Arizona, and Cincinnati (2nd game) all beat. On one hand, I’m happy for what we accomplished this year and on the other hand I’m so angry for what we should have had, and blew. That’s right “blew”. Most of the players who were supposed to be above average players were. The coaching staff has a lot to be desired, especially Grantham. The young players got some time and are developing.

I am 50 years old and have only seen 1 Cleveland championship. The 1964 Browns. I’ve seen a lot of one game short of a Super Bowls, and Tribe in the World Series but coming up a little short, and even 1 Cavaliers NBA Championship trip. But since 64, nothing but an “we almost did it”. We almost had a year with a playoff team in all 3 major sports, which would have been great. I guess we need to move on, and wait for next year. I think I’ll take a trip to Mountaineer Casino in W Va tomorrow, then come home and write my analysis on this years team. Everyone enjoy the playoffs, and what may have been.
