With his career very close to its end, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius wants to go out a winner; Jurevicius told Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that, “I think for sure I’ve got one more year. I’m going to come back and have the best off-season I have in me and give this thing one more go-round – [because] I know what we have – and then I’ll probably hang them up.”
Jurevicius did contemplate retirement after this season earlier in the year, but perhaps because of a combination of things – his thinking on his ability to still produce, the direction that the Browns have taken, and probably just as important: in 2006, he signed a 4-year, $10.5 million deal. My guess is – unless the Browns look elsewhere for an option at the #3 WR spot – that Jurevicius will return for perhaps his last season.
