DA Still the Starter Says Crennel

Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said during his final press conference of the season Monday that Derek Anderson is his starting quarterback, and if the 2008 season started today there would be no quarterback controversy on who the starter would be.  Anderson is slated to become a restricted free agent on February 28th, unless he and the Browns come to terms on a new deal.  Anderson went 10-5 as a starter for the Browns this past season, starting every game but the team’s 34-7 opening day loss to the Steelers.  His 29 TD passes tied Frank Ryan for second-most in a season in team hisory.
