Crennel Being Spoken To About Extension

Posted by Matt Loede on January 4th, 2008 filed in News

The Browns and head coach Romeo Crennel are in the early stages of talks about a three-year contract extension.  Crennel led the Browns to a 10-6 record this past season, their highest win total since 1994 when then head coach Bill Belichick led them to an 11-5 mark.  Crennel still has two years left on his original five-year deal he inked when he joined the Browns three seasons ago.  There are reports that Crennel is on the Miami Dolphins list of possible head coaches, as the Fins canned coach Cam Cameron on Thursday.  Crennel’s agent Joe Linta said he was not aware if Miami has asked Cleveland permission to speak to Crennel.
