No Talks Yet Between Browns and Crennel About Extension

Crennel

Despite the obvious overtures this past week by Phil Savage in wanting to get a new extension done with head coach Romeo Crennel, to date there have been no talks between the Browns and Romeo’s agent - Joe Linta. Len Pasquarelli of EPSN is reporting that Linta had not yet spoken to the Browns since an early conversation between he and owner Randy Lerner two weeks ago. While it does not appear to be critical that the team and Romeo’s agent start talking, it would be nice to get what could be a distraction aside so that the team can start to look at locking up running back Jamal Lewis and QB Derek Anderson. Reports say that Crennel is looking for a three-year extension.
