Everyone seems to want to get rid of Derek Anderson, and throw him to the scrap heap for next to nothing...all for an unproven Brady Quinn. Need I remind the fickle fans of Cleveland about a former OVERALL number one pick, who was coached by a supposed QB guru? *cough* We're talking about you Tim Couch *cough*

Ever since Bernie retired, the Browns have been suspect at the QB position, and now that they finally have someone step forward and seem like a true leader...everyone wants to shuffle him off to another city. Pay Derek Anderson fair market value...wrap it up any way possible so that he can focus on football and nothing else. There are less than a handfull of QBs in the NFL that I would rather have than Anderson, and to lose him on maybe's and what if's is stupid.

The Browns will screw this up. He'll hit the RFA market, have no takers, have a great year and leave the next to free agency. The Browns will be left with an unproven QB yet again, get beat twice by Pittsburgh for another decade. Been a Browns fan to long to expect anything else.

It might be better to let Anderson hit the 'Restricted FA Market" just to see where he stands. I like the guy but to dish a lot of money to someone after one solid year(yea its better than giving it to a unknown draft pick) might be a mistake. All Im trying to say is get him as cheap as possible in case he does not pan out so where not stuck taking a bad cap hit and a back up QB making starter money. GO BROWNS
Will the true Browns fans please stand up
