With draft talk starting to heat up, Sunday’s Dayton Daily News throws out there that the Browns should take a look at Boise State Junior CB Orlando Scandrick. Writer Carlos Holmes claims that Scandrick reminds him of Leigh Bodden, and that he fits the Browns system as solid corner with “blazing” speed that should show his stuff this week at the combines in Indy.
Holmes says that Browns new defensive coordinator Mel Tucker may have spoken to Scandrick before be declared for the draft last month. Scandrick is 5-11, and 195, and has good quickness and natural athletic ability. The corner says he studies the games of Broncos corner Champ Bailey and Falcons cover man DeAngelo Hall. We’ll see if Holmes’ prediction of the Browns looking to grab Scandrick turns out to be true.
