Source: QB Anderson and Browns Not Close on a New Deal

Posted by Matt Loede on February 22nd, 2008 filed in News

It appears according to the Plain Dealer that the Browns and QB Derek Anderson are not as close to coming to terms as other sources say they are.  In today’s edition, the paper says that the two sides have “substantial ground” between the team and QB.  Anderson’s reps still insist that their client get a five or six year deal, while the Browns, still feeling that Brady Quinn is the QB of the future, only want to give D.A. a three-year deal.  Anderson is set to become a restricted free agent one week from today.

3 years are plenty. Take your $15 million guarenteed and be happy. If your that confident in your abilities you can cash in even bigger down the road.
