Browns quarterback Derek Anderson did not sign the three-year offer made by the team and is now a restricted free agent.  It’s believed the Browns had offered Anderson a deal worth $20-million with $10-million of that money being guaranteed.  The Browns did tender Anderson a one-year contract worth $2.5-million as a restricted free agent.  The Browns would have the right to match any offer Anderson would receive from another team and would get a first-round and third-round draft pick if a team signed the quarterback.  However, the Browns have shown little indication that they would match any offer that would be for six-years, which seems to be what Anderson’s agents would like to get.  The Browns also have Brady Quinn ready to take over at quarterback should Anderson leave the team.
