WR Kasper Looking to Turn a Longshot into a Chance with the Browns

Not many people remember when the Browns picked up wide out Kevin Kasper, who came to the team from the Lions, where he was waived on September 1st, 2007. Kasper has seen it all since being drafted by the Broncos in the 6th round back in 2001, playing for a whopping 10 teams (including the AFL Chicago Rush last year) in just seven years. He now has a shot with the Browns, even if that shot is a long one.
“I worked a lot with Brady, D.A. and Dorsey, and it’s been great, they’ve been helping me out a lot, and I’ve been going out there and just having fun,” Kasper said. “I love the offense, I think it’s suitable for me. I’m just going to go out there, and when the opportunity arises try and take advantage of it.”
Kasper is trying to fill the void for a team with some questions at the wide out spot with players hurt, and unproven (Travis Wilson). He has played in 39 games, starting 10 in his career. In his career he has 24 catches for 287 yards with 3 TD’s. Can Kasper make the team? He’ll have plenty of chances to show it in camp and preseason games.
