It’s almost halftime and the Browns have shown nothing to get excited about. We did have Dawson’s 56 yard FG, Steptoe had a 90 and a 40 yard KO return. Wright did have 1 sack on a blitz. That’s our first pressure of the preseason. Eric Wright is having problems with coverage. I noticed the problem last week. He drops 10 yards off the receiver every play.

He got burned big time a few times. Once was a 53 yard pass that he had an interference call on the play. Then he got burned again for a TD. Anderson looked bad. He did nothing. He still can’t hit the short passes and slants. He looked bad every series he was in on. The “STUPID” penalties are a major problem. Andre Davis took a swing at a Giant but missed and got a big penalty. Zastidel had a punt blocked by Reuben Droughns for a safety. The starters basically showed me nothing on offense, and only a few highlights on defense. Wright’s good plays were about it. Can’t forget to mention Hixson’s 82 yard KO return.

DA fumbled the ball on the Giants 5 right after Steptoe’s 90 yard KO return and it was returned for a TD. DA gets sacked and gets injured. Quinn comes in and leads the Browns on a scoring drive as Steptoe runs to the right for a 7 yard TD. On the Giants next series Wright gets an interception and returns it 15 yards for a TD. The Browns are mathematically still in the game but they have been “Manhandled” the first half. Hixson, from Akron U. has been tearing the Browns up single handedly. He’s had 3 TD’s in the first half.

2nd half looked better. Quinn throws a 44 yard TD to Steptoe, but the Giants took the ball right down the field for a TD after that. Dorsey comes in, in the forth quarter and takes the Browns to another TD on a pass to Legget. After being down 30-3, the Browns have come back with 2:00 left and are down 37-34. Giants backup running back, Ware is running all over the Browns. Where is this “multi million” dollar defensive line and linebackers. Game Over. We had a few highlights but not many. Romeo better crack down, cut a few players and start busting these guys for stupid mistakes. GO BROWNS ! !
