Don’t Get Me Wrong

To all the Browns fans who may have took my previous post wrong. I am not saying that DA is the only or even main problem. I am just saying he is not the QB to take us to the playoffs. Inconsistency is a major problem with him. Lack of proper decision making is another.

Missing the short dump offs and slants is another. Ability to know when to leave the pocket is another. Sunday, on one sack he took too long to get rid of the ball and the line finally broke down. You need to get rid of the ball in 2 to 3 seconds. The offensive line can only do so much before they’re called for holding. On the other sack he rolled out to his right and ran right into the defensive lineman.

He admitted last year that while he was at Oregon State, that’s all he did was throw the long pass. Well, I can certainly believe that, since he sucks at the short pass.

The running back position is fine for now. Lewis is a bull, and Harrison and Wright are decent back ups. I like Harrison better than Wright. I see a little Metcalf in Harrison, and they need to get the ball in his hands more.

The offensive like is solid and tough. I think they were rated 2nd last year overall. Thomas and Steinbach are dominating on the left side.

The receiving corps should be tough too. Winslow is one of the best TE’s in football and Edwards makes some super catches (as long as the ball is not right in his hands). Joe J is clutch when he’s healthy, just like Brian Brennan and Dave Logan were. Stallworth needs to want to play. I am starting to think that he is just after a paycheck.

Rogers is starting to show signs of domination. The defensive line needs to pick it up though. Start putting a little more pressure on the opposing QB. Wimbley hasn’t done much so far this year. Jackson and Davis have done ok.

I’m glad Pool is back. The defensive backfield has not looked very good. At times they have shown signs of improvement though. Adams looked terrible Sunday. I know he got burned on at least 3 long passes. I think Wright could be a lot better. Watch him drop 10 yards off the receiver right before every snap. He did play a little better this week though.

Dawson hasn’t had many chances to kick FG’s or Extra points yet this year. Zastudil has punted good so far this year. It was great watching him kick those 50 yard punts into the 60 mph winds Sunday.

The Biggest problems for the Browns are ….. #1 is Crennel. Crennel has no business being a head coach. Like I have said before, these players are not your buddies. They are your employees. Make them work.

#2 penalties. Way too many penalties against the Browns. #3 injuries. I think the reason for so many injuries is the lack of coaching discipline. The players are not in shape, which is caused by not having to keep in shape during the off season. #4 Anderson. DA is way too inconsistent and not smart enough to see all that is going on in the game.

#5 dropped passes. Edwards needs to catch the balls that hit him in the hands. Put “Stick Em” all over your body Braylon!! #6 lack of pass rush. Get some pressure on the QB. It will make a big difference. We had problems last year with Grantham.

Looks like we’re going to have problems with Tucker if he doesn’t start mixing it up and creating some different pass rush schemes. I’m sure there are more problems but I just listed a few of my choices. Take care of these problems and the Browns will be there at the end of the year.

will anyone realize our problem is the coach.
He never blames anyone for losing. he’s too soft on his players so they don’t respect him. and, he can’t manage time.
DA will not take us anywhere and neither will romeo. (who btw, eats too much).

Its not the coach. If its the coach then why did they go 10-6 last year?

THEY HAVE NO DEFENSE…if you can’t stop the run then you will never win a game. plain and simple.
