What Has Happened?

What has happened between 2007 and 2008? I remember seeing the fire in the eyes of the Browns players last year. I see nothing this year but the “going through the motions”. I remember the offensive line opening holes for Lewis that you could literally drive a semi through. I remember Edwards making one handed catches while laying out for a catch. Cribbs running back KO’s and Punt Returns with wreck less abandon. Winslow catching everything thrown his way. Joe J doing the same. The Browns had scored 58 points after the 2nd week last year. This year it is 16 points for the first 2 weeks.

I watched Browns Red Zone last night. Mary Kay Cabot’s side kick stated that nothing’s wrong with DA. It was the weather that caused his poor showing last week. What about the 1st week? I will argue with anyone about DA not being the man. He has a poor 57 QB rating. I heard on the radio this afternoon, that the fans are causing such an uproar to get Quinn in there, that there is now a chance he will get into this weeks game.

I personally think he’s a lot smarter than DA. I’m hoping he gets in and shows what he can do. Just like Harrison, I hear he’s going to get more playing time. I’ve been preaching about getting Harrison in more for 2 years now. Also on this episode of Red Zone, someone stated that the defensive backs were playing too far off the receivers. Have I been saying the exact same thing during the first 2 weeks of the season. Especially Wright.

It’s time for changes, before the season gets too far out of reach. Start by getting rid of Crennel as head coach. Crennel has proved he is a good defensive coordinator. Stick him back there and fire Tucker. Tucker hasn’t done anything. Proof of that is “NO” pass rush at all!!! Crennel hasn’t shown any signs of grasping the head coach position either. Crennel has no discipline. Proof of that is all the stupid penalties and the condition of the players at the start of the season.

I never remember having the number of injuries that we have had the last 2 years. Someone tell me if the Browns have an off season conditioning program. Aren’t these players required to keep up a certain level of conditioning so they will be ready for training camp? Are they forced to listen? If you don’t follow the rules, you’re out of here or benched. It’s time to wake up and start playing football. Last year was so easy to write about, with all the great games, plays and a run for the playoffs (which the Browns blew themselves, by letting 3 games that we had in the bag get away). I think it’s time to get off your “high horses” and give the Browns fans something they have deserved for years. C H A M P I O N S H I P !!!

I agree! Why is it every other team in the league has gotten better, well except KC, hell even the Raiders look better than the Browns. We digress. Maybe Crennel was a product of the Patriots cheating. The Browns defense is STILL horrible since the defensive genius has arrived. There is as you said no passion on the Browns, just people collecting paychecks. Too bad the Browns do not play like their Fans cheer and stand by their sides, they wou.ld play with passion and fire and with some loyalty to those who pay them, their fans!

I hate to beat a dead horse but I agree as well. The Baltimore game today was pathetic. They were walking around looking like they didnt even want to be there. Cleveland has the most devoted fans in the NFL and i have been one of them for my entire life. My 4yr old has 8 different browns jerseys and a room full of Browns stuff. As of today i refuse to watch a single game until DA is on the bench and Romeo is out of Cleveland. I try to give everyone a chance but we have too much tallent to waste it away. I hope we turn it around soon because i dont know how long one franchise can take being the whipping boy of the league.

Last 3 years, injuries, indecision, discipine, game plan, adjustments during the game. This team has taken on the identity of its coach. Bernie Kosar head coach equals dynasty.
