Injuries for Sunday’s game

Sean Jones and Martin Rucker are out. Willie McGinest and Eric Steinbach did not participate. Kris Griffin, Donte Stallworth, Braylon Edwards, Shaun Rogers and Cameron Wimbley had limited participation.

Ryan Tucker, Shaun Smith and Kevin Shaffer were full go at practice. Coaches, Crennel, Chudzinski, Tucker, and Strength and Conditioning coach Myslinski all suffered “Brain Farts” this week but are expected to show up for the game and continue their coaching prowess. Thank god that the brain trust of the Cleveland Browns is still intact. Or is that brainless?

Stallworth is going into his 4th week of his 12 week vacation. Edwards still hasn’t learned to catch. He has 6 drops in the first 3 games. All in his hands. Edwards also has 6 penalties. DA has been studying his diagram book on opponents defensive alignments. He has also been working with a “timing coach”, learning how to lead the receiver to the ball.

Lerner came up with an idea this week for the illegal procedure penalties. The offensive linemen have lined up across from a pumpkin pie and a gallon of ice cream. If they jumped before the snap they didn’t get to eat.

Crennel has proven that women don’t have a corner on the market for changing their minds. One day Quinn is going to start, the next day he isn’t. He also realized he made a mistake when telling DA that the lower the QB rating, the better. Crennel might also lift the limits of 14 carries a game for Lewis, and 2 or 3 catches a game for Winslow. Where do these guys get off calling themselves pro coaches? Why such a difference in last year?

I realize that the Browns did not have the toughest schedule in the NFL, but they held their own, making the right decisions at the right times. They did on the other hand, blow the playoffs on their own. This is a new year and expectations are high. It doesn’t look like they can handle prosperity, but we will see soon enough. This is only week 4 and it’s a long season. Let’s hope they get it together soon.
