Quinn Done for the Rest of the Season

The nightmare season for the Cleveland Browns has taken another turn, as reports say that former number one pick and starting QB Brady Quinn is done for the year after doctors revealed that the break to his right index finger has gotten worse.

Quinn was not happy being pulled from Sunday’s loss to the Texans, and said as much that he didn’t know he was on such a short leash after throwing two interceptions in 16-6 loss. It was determined last week that Quinn had a fracture on his index finger of his throwing hand, and word is the injury has gotten worse since he’s tried to play through the pain.

This is just another example of the chaos that is the team right now, as coach Romeo Crennel said last week that Quinn could play through the injury without further damage, and now that is clearly not the case according to reports. states that the Browns and Quinn made the decision together to put him on the shelf for the rest of the season. Sources say that not only has the break in his right index finger worsened, but it is also starting to injure the tendons as well.

So it is back to Derek Anderson as the starter for the team when they take on the Colts Sunday at Browns Stadium. Quinn met with renowned doctor James Andrews and the Browns brought in specialists as well. A team source said that all agreed that Quinn needed to shut it down before the tendons tore from the bone.
