The Plain Dealer today has the latest on the team signing George McDonald to be the teams new offensive quality control coach. Here’s the update on the hiring.
The Browns have hired former University of Minnesota receivers coach George McDonald to be their offensive quality control coach. Before spending the past two seasons as the Golden Gophers receivers coach, McDonald, 32, held the same job at Western Michigan for one season. He has also coached at Stanford, Northern Illinois and Bucknell. McDonald is one of about four or five coaches head coach Eric Mangini still plans to add. Mangini hopes to have his staff completed by the start of the NFL scouting combine next week in Indianapolis.

This guy specializes in receivers but has also coached tight ends. He has lots of college experience at sanford, michigan and ball state. I think it is a good hire even without pro tenure.

the guy did wonders with a raw talent like greg jennings at a school that isn’t know for producing talent. great score for the browns.
