Browns Sign Former Jets DE C.J. Mosley

The Browns today announced they have signed another player, as they have come to terms with former Jets defensive end C.J. Mosley.

“C.J. adds another piece to the defensive puzzle,” said Browns General Manager George Kokinis. “He is a competitive defensive lineman that runs to the football and will fit in well with the players in that group.”

He was picked by the Vikings in the sixth round of the 2005 draft, and played in 12 games as a rookie. He was traded to the Jets in 2006, which was also Browns coach Eric Mangini’s first season with the team.

Why does it seem like the only players that we have interest in are Jets? Feels a little like good ole’ butch davis just drafting from Miami. We need leadership that is scanning the ENTIRE league for talent, especially for our WORST linebacking core in the league, as well as secondary. Last time I checked, the Jets were a pretty average squad.

Mosley was had for a bargain price, but I can’t see him adding much in terms of pass rush from the LB position. 5 sacks in 3 seasons with the NYJ is not stellar.

Get used to it Fans, we are going to be the Jets Midwest. All the castoffs that Rex Ryan does not want(gee I wonder why) Mangini is goes to take in.

We need good linbackers to help put some heat on the QB. Our DBs are not that bad, it is just when a QB has ALL day to throw the ball someone WILL get open. Now we have to replace Sean Jones, nice job there MANKOK.

Speaking of that. Don’t we have enough to be abused about, now we have the catch phrase MANKOK we now have to endure. Well hopefully ou Coach and GM can start pluggin the holes on this team with some quality players, just not someones rejects.

I have to agree to the point where I have officially changed the team name to the Cleveland Brets!
