Reports continue to come in about Browns WR Donte’ Stallworth and what is happening after Saturday’s accident which cost a 59-year-old Miami man his life. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Stallworth is going to be charged after the man lost his life while walking to the bus stop after work early Saturday morning.
Cole says that possible charges include driving under the influence, vehicular homicide, and reckless driving.
“The police seem pretty confident that they’re going to charge him,” a source with the NFL told Cole. “Even if he [is] clean, I think the police feel he’s going to be charged with something, regardless.”
Under Section 316.193(3)(c)(3)(b) of the Florida Statutes, DUI manslaughter is a second degree felony, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Under Section 782.071(1)(a) of the Florida Statutes, vehicular homicide also is a second degree felony, again punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
The big story continues to be if Stallworth was or was not over the legal limit of alcohol, but at this point, the story might very well not matter, as charges appear well on their way to being filed anyway.

Without being over the legal limit of booze, a reckless or careless driving charge would likely result. He would likely still be eligible to play this year if that were the case. We can hope.
