I agree with Ozzie. Noone is talking about BJ Raji and NT is the most necessary position in a 3-4. Pioli wants a 3-4 Defense and the KC chiefs will pick either Raji or Orakpo, just like the Pats did with Seymore and Wilfork.

The Kansas City Chiefs are moving to a 3-4 Defense. The Patriots build with a DT and NT first and turned a bunch of washed up and 6-7 round LBs into great team system players. The Draft will go like this:
1.) Denver (after trading Cutler to the Lions for the 1st and 33rd pick) will choose Matt Stafford
2.) The Rams will pick Jason Smith OL Tackle
3.) KC will pick B.J. Raji
4.) Seattle will choose Michael Crabtree
5.) The Browns will get Aaron Curry.

The Browns have enough DE, plus just signed CJ Mosely who can move between End and NT in a rotation. And Shaun Smith and Corey Williams can play end

Most of the pundits are saying his sack and QB pressure numbers are low because they did not send him alot at Wake. I don't know if he would be a good pass rusher or do we go after Orakpo? I think it will be academic, I don't see him being there when we pick at 5.

I don't know about the guy, but being able to tackle sounds refreshing; and I don't like the sound of not covering, so...
It sounds like it comes to, is he teachable at what he lacks.

Clayton I agree that Curry might not be the most skilled in pass rush but the other side of that is the LB/DE prospects like Orakpo aren't skilled in coverage.

Curry was a monster at the Combine. He dominated the LB class. If there was any doubt at all about his raw talent, that doubt was eliminated in Indy. At the risk of being lynched, however, I remind everyone that Curry has a weakness - pass rush. His stats are very good but his sack, QB hurry and batted balls numbers are just average. His main strength is tackling. It is a live issue whether Curry fits our specific needs at the LB position or whether we need an LB/DE whose pass rush skills are his major asset.
