Mark Picucci of Giants Gab passes along the following tidbit from Newsday where former TE Kellen Winslow talks about Braylon Edwards wanting to play in New York. Here is the story:
The Tampa Bay tight end and former Browns teammate of Braylon Edwards was on Sirius NFL Radio today when host Solomon Wilcots asked him if he thought Edwards would be playing for the Browns in 2009.
“For some reason I don’t,” Winslow said. “I know Braylon would love to go to New York. The Giants would fit him to the T and he would have so much fun up there. I know he loves Cleveland, but New York would be a great fit for him.”
Winslow added: “He would love it there. He’s a city guy and, yeah, I know he would love it there.”
Interesting that he wasn’t asked specifically about a destination for Edwards, only if he thinks the WR will play in Cleveland, and Winslow coughs up a Giants scenario just like that.

Well it’s not that interesting since Browns’ front office has acknowledged that there were talks at the Combine between the Browns and the Giants but no deal could be struck because the Giants would not give us enough of what we wanted. The Browns are smart in holding out.
Now that “Can’t catch” made ihis intentions known, make the Giants pay. Let his butter fingers go, but get somethiing for him, don’t be soeager that we get low balled, let’s make the other team pay for once! We could get some good young talent and a Harrison or Holt to teach them would be great.
I have faith in Braylon its a tuff question i think we should try keeping him but I think no matter how much we offer him he is gone after this year so perhaps we should try getting something for him. Or we should call Jim Tressel and tell him to throw a game to Mich so Braylon will quite crying in an OSU town.
I just want to beat Pukesburgh……..seriously like i want to get a steelers fan’s child and kick their fuckin teeth in or stomp their fuckin testicles so they can feel the pain i feel leaving the browns staduim every year after watching us blow leads to those goons
Good riddance to one huuuuge problem. What a problem he would have been this year. He was just waiting for the start of training camp to put pressure on the org. Who cares what he says now, except for tampa; he’s their problem now. it’ll be fun to watch and talk to my nephew down there and laugh at the news when he totally blows a gasket with the qb down there. Dude’s a problem looking for a place to happen.
Your ‘faith’ in Braylon is about as well concieved as your choice of language in your post.
hey i spent about 3 seconds concieving that post…….just like I spent about 29 minutes and 57 seconds “concieving” a basterd child with your sister the other night……
If by ‘concieving’ you mean trying to connect the dots in your ‘how to’ book, i bellieve it. Especially since she’s been dead for 6 years now. Next time set the flower pot back up.
I guess thats why she didn’t move much….
next time try harder.
