Brian Robiskie just a couple years ago was catching passes for the Chagrin Falls Tigers, a high school east of Cleveland. After graduation he moved down Interstate 71 to the Horseshoe and had a good career for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Now Robiskie puts the Brown and Orange on and tries to help contribute to the Browns family.

Robiskie is a familiar face around Cleveland and it feels good that he is coming home to play for the Browns. Robiskie is a smart kid and fundamentally sound receiver. Robiskie could be just what the Browns need in the locker room and on the field.

“We think he’s ready to play right away,” Browns general manager George Kokinis said. “Receiver is tough position to come in the NFL. It’s a lot to learn. It’s reading on the fly, its running routes, it’s knowing how to position your body.

“He went to a big-time university and he was well coached there. He understands it. He’s grown up with it. That’s important as you’re making the transition at that spot.”
