The Browns have inked former Lions and Broncos offensive lineman George Foster. In making the move, the team waived rookie safety Jason Venson. Foster was let go by the Lions after the team decided to pickup Jon Jansen, who had been released by the Redskins. He is a six-year NFL veteran who spent the previous two years with Detroit. He appeared in 19 games, starting 12 of them. The 6-foot-5, 338-pound Foster was a two-year starter at Georgia. He was drafted in the first round in 2003 by Denver.
