Any QB can hit the receivers if he has no pressure. Except DA of course. He was protected very well the last 2 years and still can’t hit the wide open back coming out of the backfield or the open short slants across the middle. We definately need a pass rush. There is also no need to pass the ball if you can run at will. Our 3-4 kind of defeated the purpose last year. I see Ryan making a big difference this year. Since his pick up I move my prediction from 5-11 to 8-8. That is as long as BQ has the starting job, and Harrison gets the ball more.

I agree, that was my take also. It’s exactly how he’s saying he wants to defend the otoher team, by attacking the offense and stopping the run/pass. I mean that’s what the defense does, is play the run or pass. Am I leaving something out? the others wouold be special teams. Another hint of trying to make a bit of a story? come on, let’s attack, attack, attack….and cover, cover, cover.

I think that is precisely what Ryan meant by “attacking defense” – aggressively rushing the passer and fronting the line to stop the run before it starts.
