Posted in The Browns announced a partial schedule Wednesday for their 2009 training camp. Four days of two-a-days highlight the first week of Browns training camp, which begins Saturday, August 1st at the team headquarters in Berea.
On days with one practice, the session will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m. On days with two practices, they are scheduled for 8:45-10:45 a.m. and 5:45-7:45 p.m. Remember though, if it rains or thunderstorms and the practice is moved indoors due to inclement weather, it will be closed to the public.
For the first week, two-a-days will be held on Aug. 1, 3, 5 and 7, with one afternoon practice on Aug. 2, 6 and 8. Practice will be closed to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Family day is Sunday, Aug. 9, with a 1 p.m. scrimmage at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The gates will open at 11 a.m. with free admission. Parking will be $5 for cars, $40 for limos and $65 for large buses and motor homes.
Training camp will be open to the public through the week beginning Monday, Aug. 24, possibly (although not officially) concluding on Thursday, Aug. 27.
The Browns will announce the practice schedule every Wednesday for the following Saturday through Friday.
Parking has yet to be determined because of major road construction, but parking on side streets in Berea is not permitted without a residential permit. Handicapped parking will be at the Berea Recreation Center on Front Street. The camp entrance is on Beech Street.
Fans are suggested to take Interstate 71 to the Bagley Road exit. There is a maximum capacity at camp and once it is reached, people will be turned away for the remainder of the session. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 12 will be randomly selected to obtain an autograph.

So why do I continue to see grumblings on the part of the mainstream Cleveland media about the Team being secret about the schedule? Just how far in advance is the Team expected to release it? Just stupid.
