Donte did himself a big favour with that statement and his meeting with Goodell. The Commish seems to want some recognition that the NFL player code of conduct is wider than the criminal justice system. The only problem is that Goodell's statement at the time that he announced the indefinite suspension of Stallworth was nothing more than a feeble attempt to act as an Appellate Judge to redress what some perceived to be an extraordinarily light sentence.
