Cleveland Browns Jerseys

Week 1: Pre Season at Green Bay

APTOPIX Browns Packers Football
Brady gets the start tonight. Green Bay receives the opening kick off. Browns stuff the 1st play of the game for a yard loss. Packers run up the gut for 15 yards. Same problem as last year, no pressure as Rogers throws a 53 yd TD pass.

Highlight of Browns 1st series is a 29 yard end around for Cribbs. After a couple 1st downs they settle for a 31 yd FG, but it’s called back because of a holding penalty against Fraley. Dawson misses the 41 yard attempt.

As we self destruct with no pressure on GB’s QB, and stupid penalties. Defensive holding on Ivy on a 4th and 6, keeps the drive alive. 2yd TD run for GB. When the Browns get the ball, Royal drops a pass the would have kept the drive alive. Browns punt and still can’t stop GB, as they miss a 60 yard FG attempt though. Mosley did have a QB sack that GB series.

DA starts his 2nd series and throws an int. GB misses a FG attempt and Quinn comes back in. He moves the team with a 16 yd pass to Cribbs and a facemask call added onto the play. Quinn throws a TD to Edwards, right in his hands and he drops it. Edwards had no pressure on the catch. Then Quinn throws a int in the end zone.

No highlight in the 2nd half for the Browns. They came out on the field, that’s about it. The first team O and D weren’t any better than the 2nd and 3rd stringers. Coach Ryan guaranteed there would be pressure with his new format and team. That didn’t happen. DA didn’t do anything either. Quinn has as strong an arm as DA does. He fired a couple balls in there with velocity.

Furrey made a few good catches, rookie Francies had a decent game and Aaron Walker had a few good catches. No one else did much of anything. I would say Quinn looked the best of the 3 QB’s that played. If the entire season goes the same way it did tonight, we may have a new coach next year. GO BROWNS !! ! !

Yeah, another year of abuse, same old Browns. At least this year I did not get my hopes up, so the fall won’t be so far. I am almost to the point of not caring anymore. 7 games and no TDs, I am so proud!
