The Browns today released an offseason pickup, as they said so long to linebacker Bo Ruud. “We released Bo Ruud today. We haven’t signed anybody yet. We may have a signing shortly,” Eric Mangini said. Ruud, released Monday, was claimed off waivers from the Patriots in April. He was a sixth-round pick by New England out of Nebraska in 2008, but missed all of last season recovering from a knee injury. Ruud started 46 games in college for the Cornhuskers, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors as a junior in 2006.
