Posted in The Browns today released an offseason pickup, as they said so long to linebacker Bo Ruud. “We released Bo Ruud today. We haven’t signed anybody yet. We may have a signing shortly,” Eric Mangini said. Ruud, released Monday, was claimed off waivers from the Patriots in April. He was a sixth-round pick by New England out of Nebraska in 2008, but missed all of last season recovering from a knee injury. Ruud started 46 games in college for the Cornhuskers, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors as a junior in 2006.
