Week 3 Preseason Preview

I’m sure we all have a lot of unanswered questions coming into the 2009 season. Who is the starting QB, will Rogers get some action soon, can Lewis hold up, can Edwards hold onto the ball and I’m sure we have plenty more. Personally I am not impressed with Mangini.

First of all, he’s a lifetime .500 coach. He hasn’t proven to me that he has earned the right to lead the Browns. I have no idea what his reasoning is for keeping the starting QB a secret or why he hasn’t made a choice yet. You have 2 young QB’s. They have to build some confidence to be able to take charge on the field. I think DA has proven beyond any doubt that he is not starter material. He has had the chance and hasn’t taken charge. Like I said before, Quinn is the face of this franchise now. Name him the starter and let him start building some confidence. I think in the last 2 years, he has preformed better than DA.

Why is Rogers sitting? Is he injured or is he lazy? You can’t baby your million dollar babies. Edwards for example, needs to be fined when dropping passes right in his hands. Harrison needs to be in the game more. It’s getting routine saying this, but I heard at the beginning of the year that he was going to get a lot more action. Which he should. He has proven time and time again he is a big play runner. Ryan has promised more pass rush that has not been delivered. What’s up there?

The 3rd preseason game is the biggest. Let’s see some production. We are not playing the Lions this week, so the big plays of last week won’t be as big this week. Ryan needs to turn up some pass rush, Harrison needs to run the ball more, one QB has to named the starter, and we need to “STOP THE STUPID PENALTIES”. The defensive holding penalties are unacceptable along with lining up off the line. The first things you learn if you’re a lineman is how and where to stand. DUH !!! Let’s improve on last weeks game and roll over the Titans. GO BROWNS !!!

A huge win vs a very good Titans squad. But plenty more stupid penalties. Hey Derek – get off the field when you’re not playing!
