Browns Looking to Move Corey Williams?

The Boston Globe reports that the Browns are looking to move DE Corey Williams, who was brought in last year for a second round draft pick.

The Browns are interested in trading defensive end Corey Williams, who doesn’t seem to fit in the two-gap style preferred by Eric Mangini. There were rumors earlier this preseason that the Panthers could be interested in Williams after they lost Ma’ake Kemoeatu for the season early in camp.

It seems that Williams has never been able to live up to the hype of the player the Browns thought they were getting. Last season in 16 games he had 50 tackles and just half a sack. It’s hard to believe at this point they would actually be able to get much for Williams based on what he’s shown in Cleveland to this point.

Pull the pin. Move him now or get nothing. We still need a talented pass rusher

Who plays at the left end position, then? What do they think they can get for him now? Is there a DB or an LB that we can use that Carolina has on their roster? This guy was a monster in Green Bay. We traded a 2nd round draft choice for him. It is true that he has not played at the level we thought he should or could. He was hurt throughout the year last year, too. He deserves a chance to re-establish himself; if not in Cleveland, then somewhere. But, you gotta get something of value for him.
