Mangini had a very good draft, and these players are going to be impact players. He's a littl slow starting them, but look what we did to couch. Better slow than sorry. I love you guys who are so 'free' with someone else's money; they will get paid when it is the right time. that does not mean letting the players or their agents dictate business or opening a door you would NEVER be able to close.

The draft? Also known as our super bowl...in the last draft how many impact players did Mangini pass up to take Mack, Robiskie, and Masso...and he refuses to play the picks he does draft so until he proves he's willing to bring playmakers to this team via draft and um, actually play them , it's hard to have faith in Mangini's assessment of talent. I know he made some good picks with the Jets but he crapped the bed in 09's draft.
Agree with your assessment of the team and front office. Lerner is a disgrace.

Well, I agree with the sentiment in large part, but not so much the way of expressing it. This season was done before it started. BQ is out of Cleveland. We have, what . . . 11 draft choices already? And this coach covets draft choices. Some team is going to see something in BQ that they may need -- even as a back-up. Lewis most likely will not return, either. Corey Williams will most likely depart -- either for draft choice or player. Here is our reality, at least as I see it:
   * This team has no philosophy that has guided them, for the past 10 years;
   * This team has no consistency for the last 10 years;
   * This team lacks talent at the most critical positions: the management levels of the organization;
   * The management and coaches seem to not know what they want to do or how to use player personnel;
    5 of our first round draft choices since 1999 are out of football altogether. It looks like Braylon may be doing his flop in New York, as well. That makes 6 out of 10 first round draft choices being failures; 7 if you add BQ -- and I'm not convinced that BQ is a failure by any stretch.
    Now is the time to play the kids. Let them make their mistakes during this lost season. Identify your core group on defense and offense and build around them; fortunately (or unfortunately), this is only a few players on each side of the ball. Get Cribbs under contract -- NOW.
    Is Mangini the guy? I don't know, but we're gonna have to live with him for at least a couple more years as he gathers his player group together and his system -- whatever that is -- becomes second nature. I'm not optimistic because we have tried this "power in the coach" thing before with Butch Davis. And I don't think Mangini has the overall maturity to handle this type of situation. Too anal and takes himself far too seriously.
    So, that being said, when's the draft?

Um, don't we pretty much hear DA say that after every game? Something along the lines of: I'm just going to keep working to get better and eliminate mistakes. I just have to work harder and blah blah blah...THEN he goes out and does the exact same stupid dumbass dunderhead numbskull shit week after week. Like kill our drives with interceptions in the red zone and HELLO...the complete inability to throw a freaking touch pass for six yards. Listening to him rationalize his weakass shit week after week is like listening to the adults on Charlie Brown. After three years of this, I'm pretty much done....we don't have a quarterback, Mangini knew this and perpetrated the fraud of a controversy anyway and I hate the coach and owner more than I can even say. I would hate the GM but um, I wouldn't know Kokinis if he sat next to me in a bar.
