Hey Butchie:

Maybe you missed the Miami Herald story on the guy. Here is a link if you care to check the fact:http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09194/983561-66.stm

I wasn't stating anything that isn't factual or that he has himself admitted. His knowledge of the game is not being questioned. He has not demonstrated any capability to build an organization, evaluate talent, build rosters, etc. Bernie has tremendous football savy, what he does not have is front office experience. I am more comfortable in putting Mike Holmgren, Floyd Reece or Ernie Accorsi in that role first. Give Bernie a DVD player and let him do what he does best and that is to start evaluating who will be our next franchise quarterback.

I'm getting real tired of you guys who don't even know the guy trashing his personal life like you do know him. You hear 'stories' in the gossip papers and radio and fall hook, line and sinker for that crap. Bernie's got more football savy than anyone on this team. If you're too young or too slow to realize that, take a pill and worry about your own life, you who lives in a perfect world. If you had any maturity behind you you'd know it's all crapola. AND, let's hear your answer, oh football wizard.

Bernie as a GM is a joke. We need to get the Reghi and Jimmy Rizzo homers to get over their glory Bernie days and get some reality. Bernie can't event manage his domestic affairs let alone run a professional organization. The man is bankrupt, owes the Browns one million dollars and just recently learned how to brew his own coffee.

If he is serious about pursuing an opportunity in the NFL front office ranks, he should start out like everyone else: at the bottom!

This would be great. I can't think of a better fit. quick, do it now while he can get help from Accorsi and has time to learn while we are going through all this mess anyway.

Please, NO! Get someone with experience and a strong personality that can keep Man-idiot in his place. That's just for the GM role. We still need someone higher up that can direct everything above the trenches.
