Francies is the obvious replacement for McDonald. BM is an absolute bust and shouldn't even be allowed to play special teams. Cut him and pull another right-side offensive lineman from another team's practice squad. Last night, I watched a receiver run McDonald in circles after the catch. I was a left cornerback when I played and never did I let a receiver do that to me. You either make a play on the ball or a play on the man but you don't let him dance you around...period. That play led to the only offensive TD for the Ravens (old Browns). I was disappointed to see that Gruden signed an extension with ESPN. I was hoping that Lerner would hire Holmgren to run the office and Gruden to run the sidelines. I never saw a Gruden team stop playing for their coach. That's all I'm seeing out of this offense. Without a legitimate football person at the top of management, every head coach that comes to this team will be in the same situation. Because the team lacks the strong figure upstairs, there is a power vacuum that leads the rest of the organization down a very dangerous and futile road. Lerner needs to understand that, by hiring a strong football guy to run things, he can be hands-off as he desires. All he's been doing to this point is throwing sailors onto the boat, casting off and realizing that the ship has nobody to steer and command it. Then, he takes it back to port, loads it with new sailors and starts the whole debacle again. I really wish the Browns would bench Quinn, cut Anderson, call Graham Harrell back and build an offense around a quarterback that's not afraid to throw down field with a canon. They also need to raid the practice squads of other teams to help rebuild the right side of the offensive line for cheap and cut St. Clair. Every quarterback is feeling pressure from his side. If the QB had time, he might be able to look down the field and make more accurate throws instead of constantly checking to see when the hit is coming. I was impressed with the defense last night. They played an excellent game against a pretty good offense. Ryan was masterful in mixing things up on Flacco. If the offense had moved the ball, put some points on the board and protected the darned thing instead of handing over 9 points, the Browns may have won that game. Think this way: without Tom Brady -- a lucky choice if ever there was one, do you think that Belichek would be where he is? The true meaning of Browns football. What a bunch of pansies. Quinn should be sitting the bench after his display of innacurate passing. Sure, he had receivers drop a couple passes they should have had, but most of the time he just flat out missed. The last 2 passes of the game were the worst. He decided, after the game was lost, to throw the ball downfield. Both passes went 10 yards out of bounds. He looked really confused the entire game. Although both of his interceptions were passes that should have been caught and were tipped to the defender, he reminded me of DA. Furrey had a total of 6 catches for a whopping total of 30 yards. That right there shows Quinn's inability to throw downfield. Pool had been benched prior to this game and should have remained there, injuries that always seem to haunt the Browns continue, dropped passes (no matter who is the QB), sideline to sideline football, inacurate passes, penalties have all contributed in the self destruction of the Browns. 2-14 is the worst the Browns have done since the return, but we may top that this year. 11 years of building a franchise, with no improvement from season one. What is wrong with this picture. I really wish the fans would have went through with their strike and showed Lerner our frustration with the direction the Browns have been going.
