Browns Tryout 10 Players Friday

The NFP reports that the Browns, despite the big win last night, had tryouts with 10 players today:

One day after a satisfying upset victory over the reeling defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns took a look at potential reinforcements. The Browns auditioned 10 players today, according to a league source, among the players the Browns tried out: defensive end Kareem Brown, offensive tackle Scott Kooistra, defensive tackle Santonio Thoma and running back Dwayne Wright. The last-place AFC North franchise has tried out more players this season than any other NFL team, none of the players was immediately signed, though.

Sounds like some bargain-hunting going on, maybe hoping to find another Evan Moore or Mat Roth.

You know a couple names stand out to me on this list. Kooistra’s name looks very familiar for some reason. I want to say he played with Cincy for a good long stretch before he was out on the street. And haven’t we had Santonio Thomas around here before? Seems like if he were worth much, he’d have been on the roster already.
