Cribbs Named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Browns wide receiver Joshua Cribbs has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for games played on December 10-14, the league announced today.

Cribbs registered two punt returns for 61 yards (30.5 avg.) and two kickoff returns for 43 yards (21.5 avg.) during the Browns’ 13-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday. He returned his first punt of the game 55 yards to the Steelers’ eight-yard line, helping to set up the first score of the game, four plays later with a 29-yard field goal by Phil Dawson.

On offense, Joshua recorded a career and game-high 87 rushing yards on eight carries (10.9 avg.), with a career-high rush of 37 yards. He also notched one reception for nine yards, for a game-high total of 200 all-purpose yards. This is the second AFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award for Cribbs. He last won the award on October 4, 2006.
