Holmgren says Rogers needs to be more consistent

Mike Holmgren has spoken out about DT Shaun Rogers, and says that he needs to be more consistent to take the next step:

Browns president Mike Holmgren told the Canton Repository that he wants Shaun Rogers to be consistent next year. The Browns lost all year with him and went 4-0 without him, which was odd in a way but not so much given the schedule. Holmgren says he had a meeting with Rogers and told him what he expects out of him. “I met with Shaun the other day,” Holmgren said. “And … when I’ve played against Shaun over the years, he has wrecked me. He single-handedly can take over a game in my opinion. He’s as talented a nose man as any I’ve ever been around. Now, I would ask for more consistency from him. But talent … whew … off the charts. But then, you know, he’s got to convert that. I was very honest with him in my talk with him the other day.”

Rogers is in consistant. He needs a fire lit under him and a couple linebackers to help as well.

Go Browns- attack the opposing qb!!!!!

Rogers needs to be in better shape to contribute for a full game. I don’t see that ever happening so why not trade him for a 3rd round pick. Put Corey Williams and Brian Anderson on the block as well and take a 4th and a 5th. Pick two linebackers and hope for the best.

  3. Denolakes says:

Rogers alongside Rubin, Robaire & Williams for another year or two. I could live with this, considering Roth, D’Qwell & Kam.
