McDonald on his way out after Brown trade?

The Plain Dealer says that now with the Browns getting corner Sheldon Brown, it appears that Brandon McDonald could be the odd man out:

The Philadelphia Eagles on Friday traded cornerback Sheldon Brown and linebacker Chris Gocong to the Cleveland Browns for linebacker Alex Hall, a 4th round draft choice (105th overall) and a 5th round draft choice (137th overall) in 2010. The Browns finished the season with three defensive backs who had the confidence of the coaches: Abe Elam, Mike Adams and Wright. This move may signal the end of Brandon McDonald, who seemed to regress in the past two years as a starter.

Probably makes McDonald more of a nickel back. Where’s he gonna go? I doubt he has much trade value. I don’t think teams who passed all over him would be too awfully anxious to have that gaping hole exist on their defense.

why keep him for passing downs if he was passed all over on though. i’d look to be part of some other package or to sweeten a deal. you know, we’ll throw in this back, too, type thing. but it might not happen till training camp when backs start going down with injuries.
you know, on the grading of the browns thing, i only gave them a C, but i give them lots of credit for not buying into the trade for mcnabb thing. i’d rather use the picks with competent people doing th evaluating and picking.

In McDonald’s rookie season he made good plays for the Browns at the nickleback position. I believe that Wright and “Big Mac” have been playing a position up than where they were comfortable, especially with noticeably weak Safety help and virtually no pressure on the quarterback until late in the season in ’09.

If we are lucky maybe we can trade McDonald to McDonald’s for one of those angus burgers! They are excellent! Ihope this is not a regional item (I live in big D)because take my advice everyone should try one. Seriously,I think he will be released either before or during training camp.He has little or no trade value.
