Thoughts on the Browns at OTA’s………

The second session of OTA’s ended today and it was not as impressive as the first week. The Quarterbacks threw a couple of interceptions with Delhomme and Wallace throwing one apiece. The Browns offense didn’t score a Touchdown in the team drills, with the defense looked much improved from last weeks struggles. The offense dropped a lot of balls and were  out of sync today. They also had double the amount of penalties  then they did last week. (Most of them were guys who are trying to make the team from off the streets.) If I had to grade todays performence,  I would give the Offense a C- and the Defense a B+.

* Evan Moore had a tough day at camp. Moore dropped a couple passes that he needs to catch if you wants to find time behind Watson and Royal.

* T.J. picked off a third down pass from Delhomme today during OTA’s.

* Sean Rogers was in Berea, but once again didn’t participate. David Bowens was also here but didn’t practice.

* After a great showing last week,  Brian Robiskie went back t0 last years ways and didn’t show much of  anything today. Although Coach Mangini talked about how Robiskie is doing an outstanding job so here  in camp.

* Josh Cribbs talked about a package called “Cyclone.”  It’s like the “Flash” package but with Wallace at Quarterback and Cribbs in the backfield. Cribbs also said the expectations for this team are very high and to win.

* Massaquoi believes the team doesn’t have to bring in a Veteran Receiver. I believe Massaquoi will have a break out season and for those fantasy players take a gamble on this young receiver.

I guess this means something, I’m really sure what, though.

I love the idea of the Cyclone with Wallace and Cribbs, both can run and throw. Takes the wildcat to a whole new level. Plus if McCoy pansout we can keep it for years because he is mobile too. Can Harrison catch? That could be one nightmare offense. Even if the formation is used only a couple times a game the opposing team has to take so much time gameplanning against it they lose to much practice agaisnt the base offense and other gimmicks. On the flip side I hate gimmick offenses but you have to do what you have to do.
