Kokinis is a Ratbird again

From Cleveland.com

GM George Kokinis has rejoined Baltimore as senior personnel assistant, the club confirmed.

Kokinis, who worked for the Ravens for 13 years before joining the Browns in 2009, was fired “for cause” in November.

Kokinis filed a grievance against the Browns to recoup approximately $4 million owed in his contract. In his grievance, Kokinis claimed the Browns breached their contract by fraudulently promising him authority over all personnel matters. The sides agreed to a confidential settlement in February.

In a statement released by the Ravens, Baltimore GM Ozzie Newsome said: “It’s good to have George back. He will help evaluate college and pro players, plus work with Pat Moriarty, Ravens vice president of football administration]. George knows the game, understands what it takes to win, and he will help us find players who will help us win. He has done that before for us.”

I never worry a lick about any management person in a professional sport — and this is why. They always land on their feet.
